AeroRelief, an innovative drone emergency response system developed by an HKUST team, was showcased at the International Low-Altitude Economy Summit. The system can quickly analyze emergency reports and automatically determine the necessary medical supplies, allowing for the rapid deployment of rescue kits, such as automated external defibrillators and epinephrine auto-injectors.
HKUST registered the biggest jump, moving up from 66th to 58th in Times Higher Education (THE) 2026 World University Rankings. HKUST stated that it will continue to promote innovative teaching, outstanding research and knowledge transfer, while strengthening global connections and cooperation to play a more significant role in global higher education.
