HK startup PetalGard, the winner of the HKUST-Sino One Million Dollar Entrepreneurship Competition 2024, developed natural pest-repellent pellets made from recycled materials, which can effectively drive away pests by combining AI technologies to analyze rodent behaviors. Its Founder & CEO Ricky LUI is a HKUST BIOT alumnus.
