HKUST(GZ) signed a cooperation agreement with the Affiliated School of JNU for HK and Macao Students. HKUST(GZ) will open seven of its world-renowned laboratories to the students, giving primary and secondary school students the opportunity to experience the charm of technology.
The State Key Laboratory of Climate Resilience for Coastal Cities, jointly established by HKUST and PolyU earlier this year, will be inaugurated on December 4. The lab aims to enhance the coastal region's resilience to extreme weather events.
In an RTHK interview, Co-chair of the Medical Education Task Force Prof. FOK Tai-Fai mentioned that preparations for the new media school are underway intensely. Key efforts include discussing the cooperation details with the Government, deliberating the teaching hospital arrangements with the Hospital Authority, launching a global recruitment scheme, and developing the curriculum.
In an interview, P Prof. Nancy IP emphasized that HKUST has strong research capabilities and a solid financial foundation, enabling it to establish a medical school. The School will integrate medicine and technology to train a new generation of tech-savvy doctors with clinical expertise.
