A study conducted by Otto Poon Center for Climate Resilience and Sustainability Director and CIVL Asso. Prof. LU Mengqian, along with postdoctoral fellow Dr. CHENG Tat-Fan, revealed that if greenhouse gas emissions remain high, the Northern Hemisphere's summer monsoon region will face frequent extreme droughts and floods from 2064 onwards.
